1. Ensure cleanliness and general order of Mama Ashanti service facilities and arena according to the expected and communicated standard of the company. 2. Ensure that all service crockery, table linens and other utensils are well set up for use at all times. 3. Maintain tidy dining area at all times. 4. To ensure that every dissatisfied customer is treated with maximum courtesy and consideration and that such situations are immediately escalated to the right person where necessary. 5. Greet and escort customers to their tables where necessary. 6. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies). And offer menu recommendations when required to. 7. Inform customers about the day’s specials when there is one. 8. Up-sell additional products when appropriate and advertise other company events, products and offers at every given opportunity. 9. Take accurate food and drinks orders by writing and use the POS ordering software appropriately. Never serve food or drinks that has not been posted in the POS system. 10. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff through POS system and follow up verbally where necessary. 11. Be available to collect ordered food or drinks from the kitchen or bar as soon as it is ready. 12. Serve food and drink orders to customers on their tables with accuracy and optimum customer service skills. 13. Describe and recommend wines to customers. 14. Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems. 15. Deliver checks and collect bill payments without unnecessary delays. 16. Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning immediately customers are done and without any delay. 17. Keep tables neat and tidy at all times while customers are still dining. 18. Remain available and attentive to customers at every point in time. 19. Clean tables thoroughly immediately after a customer has vacated in preparation for the next customer without unreasonable delay. 20. Stock service areas and service stations with supplies such as ketchup, sugar bowls, tableware, extra cutlery and linens etc. 21. Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up service stations, taking out trash, scrubbing floors, etc daily and any time it may be required. 22. Meet with Service team leaders for shift briefings to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties) or any other relevant information. 23. Follow all relevant health department regulations. 24. Provide excellent customer service to guests. 25. Follow the leading and instructions of the Service leaders. 26. Attend all company organized trainings. 27. Do any and everything to attain the job purpose above.
