Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification

. Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
. Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
. Understanding of food safety practices
. Experience with cake decoration techniques
. Excellent time-management skills
. Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
. Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
. Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
. Certification from a culinary school is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities

. Provide baker’s assistant services to bakers and chefs in a bakery or restaurant set up.

. Assist baker in cooking and preparations of bread, cakes, pastries and other items.

. Maintain the premises of baking area in a neat and hygienic manner.

. Assist baker in lifting heavy sacks of flour and other baking items.

. Assist bakers in operating baking machineries and implements.

. Maintain and sanitize baking utensils, tools, implements and machinery.

. Develop and create new delicious bakery products and recipes.

. Develop decorative cakes and pastries to meet customers’ orders and tastes.

. Ensure total customer satisfaction through baking of delicious bakery products.

. Strictly adhere to food safety laws and standards while preparing bakery products.
